Three Bears Resort is a large, sprawling assortment of lodges big and small under new ownership and management. The facility is spectacular, but the customer service was severely lacking. Apparently, the new owners were not familiar with the phenomenon known as CranFest and were not prepared for the onslaught of "Cranfesters."S&L Hospitality, a Verona hotel and resort development firm, is the new owner of Three Bears Resort, an indoor waterpark resort in Warrens, about 120 miles northwest of Madison. Terms of the acquisition, which was finalized Monday, were not disclosed. S&L bought the resort from the Bank of Mauston. Three Bears is a rustic, friendly lodge with everything on site for an outstanding, hassle free visit to Yellowstone National Park. Lodging, snowmobiles and all outfits were provided and current. The guides, Robert and Allison were excellent, friendly and knowledgeable and groups limited to ten Ski Doo machines.
